Love you as I always do...
Stargazer
There are stars in the sky tonight
But none of them I really want to see.
From Rigel to Betelgeuse, Polaris to Barnards Star,
None of them is brighter than the star you are to me.
Time runs fast when Im with you,
I can feel forever in a day.
Your eyes, your smile, youre everything I need
Please listen to me when I say
My sweet love, youre my everything,
My life I give to no one but you.
Heaven on earth, you are to me, please
Love me as you always do.
You are the sun
(to you I pledge my love so dear)
That brightens my day
(to have and to hold when troubles near)
And lifts me up
(to be your strength through fire and rain)
When my clouds are gray
(I'll be the one to ease your pain)
When tomorrows yet to come
(I revolve myself around you)
And darkness fills the day,
(I'm incomplete when I'm without you)
You are the star
(Our hearts beat together as one)
That lights my way
(with you, my life has just begun)
Listen to me
(for these words are only meant for you)
When I say:
(I give my life only to you)
I promise to love you
(every single time, youre always in my mind)
Every single day
(I am yours and you are mine)
There are stars in the sky tonight,
Billions of them, wishing to be you.
My sweet love, my brightest star, I will
Love you as I always do.

i see.. so this is your favorite..this is also good... different actually...but there is something more in aria... dont know what...
i love poems (of yours) that dont spell out too much feelings of romance or love or longing for someone or something.. i love it when u talk about yourself, your emptiness, worthlessness, idleness, etc..well nasa wrong category pa yata ako.. anyway.. this, i admire because it's unique...

yeah... but this poem is my personal favorite! i wrote this 3 years ago that's why you seem to like my recent ones than this one because you're more into those kinds of style. i have tried lots of styles and topics in the past 6 years of my poem writing. plus, if you don't notice it, this one is kinda special because it takes two persons to recite this poem (i wanted to make this poem as my final poem for my creative writing class two years ago but i have to recite the poem (i couldn't find someone else to recite this poem with me)). anyway, tnx for liking it, somehow. :D

I like this poem, but I think some of you newer poems could give it a good run for its money. Especially, Don't Worry, My Dear and Talking in our Sleep. I love those and they really sound full and real. This one just doesn't have that...umph.

i wrote this one on 9 July 2002 under the title "My Sweet Love". Then some weeks after, I changed it to "Stargazer" (well because of all the star thingies all over the poem and because a friend told me that she received a stargazer flower on her prom night). Then after some months I rearranged the way the lines are written (did some indentions of the lines) to make it look good on my folio. Then on summer of 2004 I changed some lines in the poem ("Our hearts beat together as one/With you my life has just begun" was originally "You are the wings that help me fly/My Love for you will never die" which I really find cheesy even on the day I wrote it). I'm really proud of this one and I think it's one of my best (if not THE BEST) poems I have ever written...
